Health policy issues in western Massachusetts brought together community members and advocates on Wednesday.
The priorities and barriers to health equity in the state were discussed during the free event.
Wednesday night’s event focused on the prevention of lead poisoning, opioid use and prevention, and MassHealth and SNAP benefits.
One employee told 22News the event is important for advocates who want to learn how to better the health of their community.
Jennifer Lee of Stavros told 22News, “It provided insight on important issues as well as allowed folks to learn about policy issues that will help bridge health disparities within our communities.”
Wednesday’s event was held at the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission and was also free.
