Baystate Health updates labor and delivery visitation policy

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Baystate Health is making changes to their visitation policy on the labor and delivery floor.

According to a news release sent to 22News, effective immediately – only the partner who attends a birth will be allowed to remain with the patient until discharge.

The visitor will not be permitted to leave the patients room for any reason. They also will be screened twice per day for signs of infection.

No other visitors will be allowed.
