BOSTON (WWLP) – Governor Baker provides an update on the coronavirus pandemic in Massachusetts Monday afternoon.
Fully vaccinated residents in Massachusetts can now show proof of vaccination right on their phones through the Commonwealth’s brand new digital vaccine passport. Governor Baker announced the program on Monday calling it ‘COVID-19 SMART Health Care.’
Residents can go to MyVaxRecords.mass.gov and enter their name, date of birth and email to access their health information. From there residents can show that they have been vaccinated against not only COVID-19 but against the Flu and other transmissible diseases.
“You can get your entire vaccination history and if you haven’t gotten boosted, and you do get boosted at some point that data will add automatically,” said Baker.
This new SMART health card comes just as the city of Boston is preparing for it’s new vaccine requirement to take effect. By the end of the week, residents that want to visit restaurants, gyms and entertainment venues in the city will have to show proof of vaccination to enter.
Right now there is not a vaccine mandate in place at businesses across the state.
