22News held a blood drive in honor of National Volunteer Blood Donor Month on Thursday.
The Red Cross launched its ‘Dunkin’ Donors Make a Difference’ campaign at our 22News studios on Broadcast Center.
As part of the campaign, anyone who donated blood on Thursday received a $5 Dunkin’ gift card via email and a free Red Cross t-shirt.
More than 100 people came out to the blood drive, 99 were able to donate.
“We just think it’s the sensible thing to do,” said Marci Ryder, a donor from Ludlow. “It’s the right thing to do and it’s also good for you.”
22News has been hosting this annual blood drive since 2010.
