(WTNH) – Health officials report that 22 people in Connecticut have now died from the flu this season.
The Department of Public Health released new numbers on Thursday.
According to the department, 1,147 patients were hospitalized with influenza between Aug. 26th, 2018 and Feb. 2nd, 2019.
Among those who died from the flu, 14 were aged 65 or older. Seven of the people who passed away were between 50 and 64 years old. The one remaining death was a person between 25 and 49 years old.
