Rehab Resolutions unveils anti-gravity treadmill

A West Springfield physical therapy clinic claims running with no discomfort can be accomplished using their anti-gravity treadmill.

Rehab Resolutions hosted an open house Wednesday afternoon to welcome the arrival of the “Alter-G” treadmill.

The so-called anti-gravity treadmill uses NASA technology to decrease the force on the hips, knees, and ankles, by reducing body weight to as low as 20 percent.

Sophia Zanzarella, owner of Rehab Resolutions told 22News, “We’re finding that some of the clients that we’ve already had on it are being able to walk significantly better after two to three sessions on it because it unweights your body. It allows your body to recruit your muscles more adequately.”

Anti-gravity treadmills are used by several professional sports teams and athletes including The Boston Red Sox and Tom Brady.
