Many people wait till after the holidays to workout and spend time in the gym.
According to US Health News, 80 percent of people fail with New Year’s resolutions every year.
22News went to N.E.X.T Fitness in Agawam to see how people can balance working out during the holiday season.
“You want to still be able to have fun throughout the year and be able to enjoy time with your family,” said Crossfit trainer Justin Burchell.
Burchell suggests, “I’d say come up with a game plan, everything in moderation, instead of eating a lot of cake and cookies, limit yourself to a few of them.”
Research shows a successful New Year’s resolution at the gym starts with being mindful, setting specific goals and to go with a friend.
