Some Springfield residents were treated to free dental care Saturday.
Springfield Technical Community College’s dental hygiene program and the Valley District Dental Society co-hosted their 2nd “Community Dental Day”.
The event gives area residents who might not be receiving dental care the chance to receive treatment for free. The all-day clinic featured seventeen dental chairs.
Guests were treated to health screenings, diagnosis, x-rays and other types of urgent care from licensed dentists and assisting students.
Dr. Martin Wohl told 22News, “We’re looking to provide more access to care so that’s the important thing for dentists in the community. This is just one way it’s not a complete way.”
Patients who participated in the free clinic can return to STCC for low-cost follow-up care.
