CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for Hampshire and Hampden Counties for Sunday afternoon, July 19th, until 6 PM Sunday evening.

A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is expected.

Temperatures going up into the lower 90’s and dew points in the 70’s, the feel like temperatures outside will be upper 90’s and some 100 degrees.

The worst of this heat will occur between 1 and 5 PM Sunday afternoon.

Possible impacts from the heat may result in heat exhaustion or heat stroke. Take breaks when needed and stay hydrated.
