Holyoke drowning victim identified

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – The body recovered from the Connecticut River in Holyoke Thursday has been identified as that of a 29-year-old man.

Hampden County District Attorney’s Office spokesman Jim Leydon identified the victim as Nelson Caballero.

Body found in water at High Rock in Holyoke

Holyoke Police told 22News Caballero was found by a passerby at High Rock, near Jones Point Park at about 2:00 p.m. Thursday.

Holyoke and state police are still looking into what led up to the man’s death.
