Hundreds line up for MGM Springfield’s final hiring event

News

MGM Springfield hosted its final hiring event to fill its remaining open positions before opening this August.

The event was open to the public with no appointments needed.

Hundreds of people lined up outside of the Mass Mutual center Sunday morning hoping to be hired. Jobs include security, valet and food services.

Director of Human Resources for MGM Springfield, Jason Randall spoke with 22News on the opportunities future employees could have working for the company.

“Great career opportunities exist with MGM Springfield even if you get in at an entry level position. All of our positions do have a path to them. They have supervisors, they have managers so even if you get in with us on the ground floor there’s a lot of opportunity to move up and advance your career,” he said.

Randall told 22News he expected to fill up to 400 jobs at Sunday’s hiring event.

MGM Springfield will open in exactly two months on August 24th.
