CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Opioid addiction has become a national health crisis. One of the factors: prescription pain medication. Some people who become addicted are originally prescribed painkillers for an injury or after surgery, and when the prescription is done and no refills available, move on to heroin.
