CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – The 22News I-Team continues the investigation into the issue of a poor quality pyrrhotite used in concrete that has led to crumbling foundations in houses in Connecticut and Massachusetts.

If you’re looking to sell or buy a home in the region, this may be a deal breaker. Many home shoppers are now asking for testing of the concrete foundations before they agree to buy. For the seller, this could mean having to invest hundreds of thousands for repairs, or a cut in price, or no sale at all.

22News I-Team reporter Taylor Knight talks with an East Longmeadow couple facing this dilemma in trying to sell their home. What are their options? Watch Part 3 of the 22News I-Team report on crumbling foundations, Thursday on 22News at 6pm.
