Crumbling foundations: Making funds available for repairs to homeowners


CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP)– The 22News I-Team continues to follow up on the issues surrounding crumbling concrete in residential homes in Connecticut and Massachusetts.

If a home in Massachusetts has a crumbling foundation, the homeowner must cover all the repair costs. In Connecticut, the legislature passed a bill that created a fund to help people pay to get their foundations fixed.

22News I-Team reporter Taylor Knight has the story of one homeowner in Stafford who went through the process. She also found out what the Massachusetts legislature is doing to provide monetary support for residents facing this ordeal.
