CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – April is nationally recognized as Autism Awareness Month and Child Abuse Awareness Month. Both issues impact Western Massachusetts children and their families but not everyone has a support system, or knows who to turn to for help.
We will address both of these issues in a special one-hour program this Sunday on 22News InFocus. You’ll hear from experts who can help and people who have been personally effected.
We’ll be discussing how to recognize the signs of autism and the latest therapies for improving a child’s skills. You’ll also find out how to report child abuse and what resources are available to victims, including an advocacy center that centralizes services to reduce the trauma to children.
Find out how to help your children or support those who face the adversities of autism and abuse, this Sunday at noon on 22News InFocus.
