The opioid crisis over the past five years has placed a drain on existing substance abuse prevention and recovery services, not only locally, but nationwide. Addiction negatively impacts an addicted person’s life, as well as their family and friends, and our communities.
This Sunday on 22News InFocus we’ll be discussing the importance of Mercy Behavioral Health Care and Mercy Emergency Department’s Opioid Community Outreach for education, intervention, and treatment. We’ll learn about the recovery process and the life long commitment it takes to maintain sobriety.
Mercy Medical Center is looking for your help to raise funds to provide support and expand their addiction treatment programs through an upcoming event: the Caritas Gala, on Saturday, April 21 at the Mass Mutual Center.
