InFocus: Resources and support services for older adults

InFocus

There are over 47-million people over age 65 living in the United States according to the U-S Census Bureau. That number continues to grow as baby boomers, those born between 1946-1964, age into retirement.

Some older people are fortunate to be active and healthy into their 80’s and 90’s. But for others, illness or loss of physical abilities can lead to dangerous living conditions.

This week on 22News InFocus we’re going to be discussing some of the most common quality of life issues faced by older adults, as well as resources and support services available right here in the greater Springfield area.

Watch 22News InFocus this Sunday at noon, LIVE on the air or streaming on your mobile device using the 22News app. And if you miss it, you’ll find it on our website at WWLP.com.

This week’s guests are representatives from GREATER SPRINGFIELD SENIOR SERVICES, INC. The GSSSI provides information that connects older adults, caregivers and professionals with the resources and services needed to help address their issues and concerns.
