INSA’s first two weeks of sales “exceeded expectations”

It’s been almost two weeks since recreational marijuana sales first began at INSA in Easthampton.

INSA CEO Mark Zatyrka couldn’t tell 22News the exact dollar amount of revenue they’ve received, but he did say it has exceeded expectations.

INSA became the fifth recreational marijuana shop to open in Massachusetts and the second in Hampshire County on December 22nd.

Zatyrka said since then, INSA has had an average of 1,000 customers per day. He said the key to their success has been the short wait times for customers.

“Everything is pre-packaged already so we get the people what they need and ring them up and they’re good to go. They can see through our displays all the products we have so that allows them to checkout and be on their way,” said Zatyrka.

Zatyrka said customers have only waited an average of 15 minutes in line since recreational sales began. He said there have not been any safety or traffic issues.

He said INSA will be expanding their menu and increase their inventory within the next few months.
