High school students are getting a chance to experience college life this week at Western New England University.
More than a dozen students from various Western Massachusetts high schools are taking part in the University’s mission ignition.
It consists of five separate programs designed to allow students to explore potential college majors and career paths.
The program also gives the students the chance to get the feel of college life before they graduate high school.
“I think it’s mostly the dedication, any kid up there to Western New England University,” said Jerry Moore a senior from Hampden Charter School of Science. “It’s something we want to do in school, it’s something we’re interested in.”
The Western New England University summer program is in its first year. The classes run weekdays until August 17.
