LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) – Hanukah begins tonight and the Lubavitcher Yeshiva Academy has a full schedule of programming to celebrate.
Today, the Chabad Hebrew School held an olive-oil making demonstration as they remember the miracle of the holiday.
“Making the oil making the light is something that is very special every year. During the winter when its dark and cold people are huddling at home the message of Hanukkah is the message of light hope strength and perseverance for any challenges that may come our way,” Levy Kosofsky from Longmeadow told 22News.
Tomorrow, the Academy will join Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno, Congressman Richard Neal and other local leaders for the annual Court Square Menorah lighting that is scheduled for 3:15p.m. Monday afternoon
