ERVING, Mass. (WWLP) – Two people were taken to the hospital late Tuesday night following a fiery head-on crash in Erving.
Erving Police Chief Christopher Blair told 22News the crash happened on Route 2 in Farley Flats at around 11:35 p.m.
Blair said a 17-year-old Warwick man was traveling westbound when he swerved to avoid an animal, crashing head-on into a car driven by a 21-year-old woman from Orange.
The chief said the woman was taken to a hospital in Worcester with serious injuries. The teen received minor injuries and was taken to Baystate Franklin Medical Center.
Blair told 22News both cars became engulfed in flames after the crash, and were completely burned.
