Franklin County

Three Orange residents are without a home after a 3-alarm fire in the North Main Street area Friday evening.

Orange Fire Chief James Young told 22News both police and firefighters were called to a single-family home on North Main St. around 4:45 p.m.

Greenfield and two other fire departments assisted Orange with mutual aide to put out the fire.

No one was hurt but Chief Young said the house suffered extensive smoke and water damage.

A section of North Main Street was closed for hours due to the house fire. Traffic in the Prospect and High streets area were also affected.

All roads have since reopened.

The fire took about two hours to control, Chief Young told 22News.
