Dozens gathered in Greenfield Thursday to protest discrimination.
The 7th annual Stand Together Against Racism (STAR) barbecue was held at the Green River Swimming Area.
Event organizer Glen Franklin told 22News the goal of the “STAR” barbeque is to give people who have been directly impacted by racism, an opportunity to meet community members working to put an end to it.
“A lot of people are really concerned with some of the issues going on nationally but also in their own community,” said Franklin.
The annual event was hosted by “Community Action Pioneer Valley,” an organization dedicated to offering resources that help communities thrive.
