A cabin was destroyed in a fire in Orange on Saturday.
According to the Orange Fire Department, firefighters were called at 1:25 p.m. for a report of a cabin on fire in the woods at the end of Ward Road.
When firefighters got to the cabin, they found it had collapsed and burned to the ground. Equipment to put out the fire had to be carried in by hand and a floating pump was placed in a nearby brook, as there was no vehicle access to the cabin.
Firefighters stayed at the cabin for two hours to ensure the fire was out. According to Orange Fire, no one was at the cabin or injured in the fire.
The Orange Fire Department is still looking into what caused the fire.
