COLRAIN, Mass. (WWLP) – Firefighters from nine different departments worked Thursday morning to put out a fire at a commercial garage in the Franklin County town of Colrain.

Colrain Fire Chief Nicholas Anzuoni told 22News the call for the fire on Main Road (Route 112) came in at around 3:15 A.M. The chief said that there there were many flammable materials inside, so the fire spread very quickly, and the building soon became engulfed in flames.

Firefighters from nine different departments, including two from Vermont, were called in to assist Colrain firefighters.

Anzuoni said no one was injured in the fire, though the building is considered a complete loss. Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.

Route 112 was closed in the area of the 300 block of Main Road during the early morning hours, but has re-opened to traffic.
