COLRAIN, Mass. (WWLP) Thursday night around 4:45 p.m. the Colrain Fire Department was called to a fire on Ed Clark Road. Due to the conditions of the driveway, more help was needed to put out the fire.

Although the home sustained significant damage, all four members of the family escaped unharmed. The fire did spread to the walls and the attic, and heavy fire was visible in the home. Colrain received assistance from Shelburne Falls Fire Department, Shelburne Center Fire Department, Heath Fire Department, Halifax Vermont Fire Department, Whitingham Vermont Fire Department, Leyden Fire Department, Charlemont Fire Department, Buckland Fire Department, and Greenfield Fire Department. The town of Conway covered the station for Colrain.
