The Green River Festival is being held this weekend at Greenfield Community College. The 32nd annual Green River Festival kicks off Friday with music, food, activities and hot air balloons.
Located at Greenfield Community College, the festival which has a lineup of over 40 musical performers. Organizers are expecting thousands of people to come out for the three-day event.
Crews were at the community college on Thursday, setting up tents and the four stages for the more than 40 live music performances. Organizers told 22News this event is different from other music festivals.
“It’s not like other festivals,” said Abbie Duquette, operations manager of Green River Festival. “We have such good food we have craft vendors four different stages and everyone there wants to be there.”
“It literally has something for everybody,” said Regina Curtis, GCC Liaison of Green River Festival. “Each stage has a different stage, a different vibe to it so if you are here for a day or the whole weekend. You will find something that you want to hear anytime.”
Curtis told 22News there will also be tethered hot air balloons rides, that will take people up above the festival grounds. She said 400 volunteers are working to put this festival together.
