The Franklin Hampshire Workforce Board and Career Center launched its new brand on Friday.
The center has joined 43 workforce organizations adopting a unified name, MassHire, to focus on the state’s integrated workforce system.
MassHire told 22News, the goal of rebranding is to help both job seekers and businesses.
The Baker-Polito Administration announced the new brand this past August. But Friday marked the official local launch of MassHire.
MassHire links career centers and workforce boards across the state.
“We as the Career Center and Workforce Board, have been working for the last five months to culminate in the launch today,” said Teri Anderson, executive director at the MassHire Franklin Hampshire Career Center.
Athena Lerch of Greenfield told 22News, “Well I just feel like there’s more promise and hope for me to really secure the job that I would love to have.”
The development of the MassHire brand is the state’s response to the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.
Under the MassHire brand, career centers and workforce brands can better serve job seekers, and businesses by increasing access and visibility of workforce services.
