Sunderland 300th parade to cause detours

Franklin County

The Franklin County town of Sunderland is celebrating its 300th birthday this weekend, and to celebrate, a parade will be making its way through the center of town on Saturday! With that in mind, the Sunderland Police Department will be closing roadways along the parade route for about two hours.

The parade, which will be running from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M., will step-off from the Sunderland Elementary School, and continue west on Old Amherst Road and turn north on Route 47, where the parade will continue through the center of town and all the way up to the intersection of North Main Street (Route 47) and North Silver Lane.

The entire parade route will be closed to traffic between 1:00 and 3:00, and Route 116 will be shut down between River Road in Deerfield and Garage Road in Sunderland.
