Suspect accused of stabbing State Trooper in New Salem identified

We now know the identity of the suspect accused of stabbing a State Trooper in New Salem Friday.

Massachusetts State Police have identified the suspect as 18-year-old Nghia Le of Manchester, New Hampshire.

Le is facing several charges including armed assault with intent to murder.

He’s being held on $1M bail and will be arraigned sometime early this week. Le is still recovering in the hospital.

The trooper, who has not been identified, is also still in the hospital but is described as being in “good spirits.”
