WHATELY, Mass. (WWLP) – Whately police are advising residents that there is no water testing scheduled in town Monday, after an incident on Christian Lane.
According to Whately police, a resident reports that at approximately 9:50 a.m., a man and a woman came to her house in a white van and told her they needed to test her water.
The two allegedly left after the homeowner said she was going to call 911. Whately police say the man is described as white and 5’8″ tall. There is no description of the woman available.
According to Deerfield police, a resident reported receiving a similar call but no one showed up to their home.
Anyone who receives similar calls or visits to their home is asked to call police immediately.
