(WWLP) – Funeral services will be held Tuesday for Maine State trooper, Detective Ben Campbell who died in the line of duty last week.
Campbell was from Easthampton. He was also a graduate of Westfield State University.
He was killed while he was helping a disabled car on the side of the road on 1-95 in Hampden when a wheel came off a truck and struck him.
Campbell’s funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday morning at the Cross Insurance Arena in Portland, Maine.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help his family with over $26,000 raised of a $25,000 goal within four days.
