2 babies, 2 adults injured in crash involving school bus, car in Indian Orchard

INDIAN ORCHARD, Mass. (WWLP) – Two babies and two adults were injured in a crash involving a school bus and a car on Main Street in Indian Orchard Thursday afternoon.

Springfield Police Department spokesman Ryan Walsh told 22News the driver of the car and two one-year-old passengers were taken to Baystate Medical Center following the accident.

Walsh said one of the three adult passengers on the bus was taken to Baystate Medical Center with injuries. The severity of the victims’ injuries is not known at this time.

Walsh said the Springfield woman driving the car has been cited for marked lanes and license plate violations.

Springfield police originally reported there were no passengers on the school bus. This story has been updated to reflect that there were three adult passengers.
