We’re less than three weeks away from Christmas, and some western Massachusetts residents are getting in the holiday spirit through song.
Hundreds came out for the 31st annual Caroling on the Green in West Springfield Thursday night.
The town green was filled with carolers, including the Tatham Elementary School Chorus; their fourth year at the event. Mayor Will Reichelt also made an appearance Thursday night
“It’s a good chance for everybody to get together because it’s guaranteed stress between November 1st and January 1st,” said John Bocon of West Springfield. “No one has a lot of time between work and running around. They’re going crazy. It’s nice to breathe.”
Thursday night’s caroling event was part of the West Side’s Operation Santa program.
