It was a celebration of Polish food and culture at the 38th Polish-American Dozynki Festival
The festival took place at the immaculate Conception Church in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield.
The celebration had games, raffles and polish food that included more than 1,500 pierogis.
Sandy Lichwala, one of the events organizers told 22News the festival is something people look forward to year round, “They call the rectory, they want to know when it’s going to start, who’s going to be here, how long we’ll have musicians, they love the polish music.”
The celebration continues tomorrow at noon and will go until 10:00 PM. Admission is free.
