5 people displaced after Fire on Burleigh Road in Wilbraham

WILBRAHAM, Mass. (WWLP) – A Wilbraham family was able to escape their burning home Tuesday afternoon.

Wilbraham Firefighter Adam Hart told 22News the fire at 108 Burleigh Road started just before 4 p.m.

Ludlow fire crews were also called in to assist with the house fire.

Wilbraham Fire Captain Thomas Shaw told 22News the fire started in the second floor bedroom of the house.

Damage was contained to the second floor. No one was hurt.

Captain Shaw said they’re trying to determine how the fire started, but they believe it was accidental.

As many as five people who lived there are staying with friends.
