Two adults and four children don’t have a place to call home Sunday night after a fire at 117 Stafford Street in Springfield.
Springfield Fire Spokesman, Dennis Leger told 22News crews were called to the fire around 5:45 p.m. Sunday evening.
The fire began inside a bedroom wall between the first and second floor and eventually spread to the third floor and the roof before it was extinguished,
Leger said no injuries were reported. The Red Cross is assisting the six people displaced by the fire tonight.
The home sustained an estimed $35,000 worth of damage.
The Springfield Arson and Bomb Squad is looking into the cause of the fire.
