In 2018, the Springfield Police Department received 56 complaints of police misconduct.

Mayor Domenic Sarno announced today that the Community Police Hearing Board submitted their 2018 annual report. 

The CPHB report recorded the total number of police calls for service, the number of arrests, and a number of complaints compared to last year. 

The report also showed 61 total lawsuits have been filed against the city or its police officers in the past 12-years. 

Sarno told 22News the reports ensure that all complaints are investigated thoroughly and ensure transparency of the Springfield Police Department.
