The first of May calls for 24 hours of giving to the Pioneer Valley’s non-profits.

Hundreds of western Massachusetts non-profits hope you’ll pledge support during the 6th annual Valley Gives Day.

Valley Gives Day is a 24-hour online giving event.

You can choose from more than 400 nonprofit organizations, like the Boys and Girls Club of West Springfield.

“The Valley Gives organization provides a really excellent platform for us and it’s been very easy, so we’ve just done the work in terms of social media, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and getting the word out,” said Haabiba Whitney, director of membership and marketing of the organization.

The 24 hours of giving starts at midnight and ends at 11:59 p.m. on May 1.
