7 residents forced out of Springfield home after fire

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Seven Springfield residents are without a home Wednesday evening following a structure fire on Ames Street.

According to the Springfield Fire Department, crews were called to 36 Ames Street to find the burning structure and quickly extinguished it.

No one was injured but the seven individuals who lived there are unable to return.  

The local Red Cross is assisting them.
