Hundreds of people escaped Saturday morning’s rain by shopping for handmade products.
The 9th Annual Fiber Festival of New England kicked off in West Springfield today.
The weekend-long festival is held at the Eastern States Exposition and features 200 vendors of wool and natural fiber products.
22News spoke with Rose Garbien, a vendor who said what she looks forward to most each year is seeing familiar faces, “I’m in a new booth this year. I’m in a corner spot which I like. It’s very visible. I’m looking forward to seeing a lot of old customers. I do have a lot of repeat customers that come for my soap specifically.”
Clothing, quilts, rugs and more will be showcased and on sale throughout the weekend. Also featured at the festival: workshops on spinning and crocheting.
