CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Alert Ambulance Service donated dozens of toys to our Toys for Tots drive Friday night.
Employees wearing Santa hats unloaded ambulances filled with stuffed animals, bikes, and toys. They even used a stretcher to carry in their items.
Alert Ambulance has made this Toys for Tots donation an annual tradition. Workers raise money, and their employer matches their donations.
They were able to buy more toys this year because their union added to the contributions. With a little help from Hasbro, they brought in tons of toys.
Holly Baird, a supervisor at Alert Ambulance Service, told 22News, "After that, what happens is, Hasbro allows us to come down to where their toy store is, and actually go in there and actually spend money in their store to actually buy the toys, which allows us to get a lot more."
Alert Ambulance has been donating to Toys for Tots for nine years.
