The annual Make A Wish golf classic was held at the Springfield Country Club Monday.
Make A Wish provides opportunities of a lifetime for kids with critical illnesses.
Peg Wheble with Make A Wish of Massachusetts and Rhode Island said Monday’s golf classic will likely enable 10 wishes to be granted in our region, for kids like Lila Keegan and Ella Negron, two Make A Wish kids from Chicopee and Hampden.
“I had cancer and I went on a Disney cruise. We swam with dolphins,” said Hampden Make A Wish recipient Lila Keegan. “We watched plays and stuff. When I was very sick, I was not feeling good, and then when I heard I was going to have a wish, I was much more happy.”
Chicopee Make A Wish recipient Ella Negron said, “I went to Disney World and I had lots of fun there. Just stay strong, and believe in yourself.”
