HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – A fifth-annual benefit was held Saturday night to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association.

The Painting the Face on Alzheimer’s Benefit Gala was held at the Log Cabin in Holyoke. The event featured an art show and art for sale, all made by individuals with Alzheimer’s.

Saturday night’s gala was honoring Beth Cardillo, a woman who has dedicated 15-years to working with the Alzheimer’s community and founded the dementia-friendly movement in Massachusetts.

Cardillo told 22News Saturday night’s event raises money for Alzheimer’s research, and she’s proud to see the event grow over the years

“It went from a small little thing to a big event, and it’s bringing awareness to people about Alzheimer’s,” said Cardillo.

Saturday’s benefit was hosted by Mass Appeal host, Ashley Kohl.
