An artistic cultural experience and stress relief Thursday night in Holyoke.
Dozens of residents joined Gaddier Rosario at the Holyoke Public Library for a night of drawing and doodling. Rosario is an artist and author of “A Very Special Coloring Book from Puerto Rico.”
A short presentation was followed by a relaxation exercise and coloring workshop for guests.
The workshop was intended to teach participants about ancient Carribean art.
Rosario told 22News, “I was looking for some kind of way to share the art but more than the art, to share the experience of doing art.”
Among the benefits of this event, attendees discovered coloring helps exercise fine motor skills and trains the brain to focus.
