The Springfield Arson and Bomb Squad has determined the cause of the fire at 21 ½ Bancroft Street in Springfield that left six families without a home.
Springfield Fire Department Spokesperson Dennis Leger told 22News it was an electrical fire that started in the bathroom area of apartment 1.
Leger said the fire was hidden inside of the wall and ceilings for quite some time before it was discovered and reported.
