Hundreds of Baystate employees are helping local school children prepare to go back to school.
Dozens of plastic storage bins were delivered to the hospital’s Chestnut Conference Center where they will be distributed to local elementary schools.
The goal is to make sure children returning to school have the proper tools to succeed.
“It gives them a great start to the year with the supplies and things that they may not have to start the year,” said Jose Escrivano, principal of Brightwood Elementary School. “So I think that it’s a great opportunity for our students to start of the year on a positive note.”
The supplies include colorful markers, folders, spiral notebooks, crayons, and more.
