A popular lecture series focused on heart health kicked off in Holyoke Sunday afternoon.
Baystate Medical Center is hosting its Heart and Vascular Health Lecture Series during the month of February.
The first of four installments was held Sunday at the Baystate Health Education Center and focused on acute chest pain and heart attack.
Cardiologist Evan Lau led the presentation. He explained the warning signs of a heart attack and the recovery process.
Clinical exercise physiologist Heidi Szalai told 22News, “This is a wonderful opportunity for people from the community to come together and there is no charge to this. They’re actually able to get some free information from many of our prominent physicians throughout the Pioneer Valley at Bay State.”
The Heart and Vascular Health Lecture Series is presented by the Baystate Heart and Vascular Program as part of American Heart Month.
