SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A body that was found floating in the water in Porter Lake Sunday morning.
The body was found by a park employee and the Springfield Fire Department recovered the body out of Porter Lake in Forest Park just after 9 a.m. Sunday.
According to Springfield Police spokesman Ryan Walsh, the body has been sent to the Medical Examiner for identification and an autopsy.
Walsh said the death isn’t being considered as suspicious at this time.
There is no word on the identity of the person at this time.
