Business leaders and Mayor Domenic Sarno gathered at the MassMutual Center Wednesday morning for the Inner City Capital Connections Springfield & Western MA Seminar.
Boston-based non-profit Inner City Capital Connections came to western Massachusetts for the seminar. The non-profit aims to support companies, that create jobs in inner cities.
Business leaders from Springfield got the chance to participate in their classes and seminars, to help improve their businesses.
According to Mayor Sarno’s office, the seminar is designed to help owners take their businesses to the next level.
“With the time you forget what is important, what is vital for survival because you’re in the trenches,” said John Perez, principal of Consilium Opis LLC. “Working day to day to make a business work and these seminars are dedicated for this.”
Speakers at the event included former treasurer of Massachusetts and CEO of Initiative for Competitive Inner City Steve Grossman, and MassMutual Foundation’s President and Head of Community Responsibility Dennis Duquette.
